Now im not saying "Make game updates" because thats asking to much (salem is being made atm)

Im jus askin for every now and then
"Hey we fixed a few bugs"
"Hey the server was down last night because someone Killed a rabid jackelope "
"In 30 days we will have a new upate"
"salem will be ready in a month"

Just random little things like that to Bring the forums back to life

I believe it was because loftar did not want to have to go into explanations as to why he did things. He also did not want anyone to assume control over the situation and do it for them, as that would confer informational power to them as opposed to the rest of the community.

I'll be damned if I can find the quotes though.

if im understanding the situation correctly, jorb and loftar work on this game for their own fun.
if loftar has to keep notes of everything he does to this game, it would not be fun for him, but rather a burden.
then he might start feeling like he doesnt wanna do it cause it can be a pain to keep on track of all things.
also, he would rather use the available time on actual developing than taking notes and records.
and i respect and cherish their honesty there.
(and they do not want forumers do this info thread either, as what TechX said above.)

all in all, this is not an official service to entertain customers.

loftar did once start using a bug tracker so that we could follow too if we wanted, but the site(Mantis) had a problem with e-mail registration and the plan was suspended some time ago.

I believe he said it in IRC. Something about Avu having a gate infront of a minehole tile, and loftar doing some changes to the code of the gate so pavement on both sides of gate don't matter. Loftar was later asked why he dosen't do small reports as you said, and used that as an example. Something along the lines of The changes being so confusing, no one would really be able to understand the exact complications of the changes to the formula's and such.

EDIT: He later said no one would write the actual post right. And then linked to one of sabinati's posts in announcements of an editted C&I post. Something about names above HF's. You can search for it, my search function dosen't work.
