I like the FEP system but I have one major beef with it. It's annoying as hell to try to raise a desired stat.
Really if you power level one stat and you have another that sucks why should you need 200 FEP to bring one stat to 201 and the same amount to bring your crap stat to 11?
Just a small fix like making the wider the gap between your top and bottom stats would increase the percent of gaining a lower stat.
For a simple example we'll use Boar Baloney +2 str +2 Agi +2Con. Say con is at 100 and agi is at 10. The highest stat (Con) still gets the default +2 FEP per baloney eaten but for every x% lower that the bottom stat is it increases the FEP of that stat. Obviously it would take some playing around to find a workable model.
I'm crap at math so if I'm completely wrong in my calculations well... you know why. But if Con is 90% higher than Agi and the percentage per point was 30% then for each Boar Baloney eaten Agi would go up by 5 Con by 2 and Str by whatever percentage it is lower than the top stat (Con).
Probably not a perfect model but I think some kind of scaling like that would make the start gaining a little more friendly.
