A very simple idea

Thoughts on the further development of Haven & Hearth? Feel free to opine!

A very simple idea

Postby ghostless » Sun Aug 28, 2011 8:31 pm

I have an idea for something small and simple that im sure haven and hearth players would LOVE to see.

When you choose to repair something you should get a little bit of writing next to your cursor for example 93% <- that 93% meaning that whatever it is you are trying to repair is missing 7% of it's durability. I'm no developer myself but i can't imagine something like that being too hard to implement. Please give me some feedback on this idea and let me know what you all think ^^

One you have a couple travel sacks and a merch robe, you'll be able to carry enough of whatever materials to fully repair pretty much anything, making that pointless/

Do you have issues with reading the English language? I'll simplify for you since you seem a bit dense. if you can fully repair any item with one use of the repair command, what does the percentage damaged, or needing to be repaired matter?

It's good information to have?

His idea has nothing to do with the actual use of the repair command and everything to do with making the item durability rating available as an actual numerical statistic.

He's using the repair function as a mechanism for releasing this hidden information. He could have just as easily suggested a new "adventure > check" feature which did the exact same thing. He doesn't care about repairing the item (to which your rebuttal still makes no sense), he just wants to know how much damage it has.

there is a custom client that shows percentage by 25% percent intervals.
