greenhouses

i think that a green house would be a good addition to the game. it should cost 200 glass, 5 bars of any common metal, and 30 dirt. the dirt will be the dirt used for crops so i think that it should be what determines the soil quality of the crops. it should remain plowed forever preventing you from having to continue plowing and preventing you from digging it up to be used for other things. it should also have the same growth bonus as a beehive which does not stack with the beehive but you still get honey and wax if there is one in the green house(or you can add some wood and straw to have a built in beehive). the size should be about as big as a timber house or have multiple settings with different material requirements.
please let me know if this is a good idea and if not, why. :]

1: It has absolutely no purpose. Even the soil in the pots in the greenhouse needs to be turned up to replant. Just be thankful you don't have to replow every time you plant crops like real farmers do.

2: It has no structural integrity. Theoretically someone could stand at the walls and pelt it with sling stones and break it.

3: Waaaay out of the theme of the game. As far as I know, greenhouses were extremely small during this time and were more of a "sun room" type of construction designed to keep a few plants alive through the winter.

4: The only real purpose of a greenhouse is to keep things alive in climates cooler than they natively grow in (or to grow plants earlier than the normal growing season). Since there are no seasons, there is no need for a greenhouse.

I'm sure I can come up with others, but this is probably enough.

You just want the benefits of farming without having to plow, admit it.
It's okay, I do too. I'd also love if I didn't have to harvest one plant at a time but C'est la vie.

I'm still shocked (happily, though) that we don't have to water our plants!! I was expecting farming in this game to be a lot more like Harvest Moon.

Screw harvest moons' farming system, it's SO tedious and grindy, please no.

To be sure. I'm not advocating for it, I was just amazed that it -wasn't- that way. A harvest moon like system would force farmers to be nothing -but- farmers, as they wouldn't have time to do anything else lol.

To be honest, they already are. The importance of keeping your Farming stat higher than your crops along with full nature only having a couple of other minor uses pretty much means farmers are stuck to plants and trees with silk farming thrown in... oops, that's more farming, isn't it?
