Knew there was something I might be overlooking. That could definitely put a crimp in things. Though in rebuttal, Grassland would be the only natural tile seriously effected. I don't recall seeing any trees in the middle of moor or heath. The edges of all three would eventually re-adjust to a natural boundary. (As a note, Swamp, Marsh, and Thicket all have trees randomly scattered through them, though not the quantity Grassland has.)
One potential fix for this would be checking for a balance in the surrounding tiles so a lone tree in the middle of a swamp or grassland has no effect.
