Happy/Unhappy

Postby DeathBleach » Thu Nov 24, 2011 10:01 pm

Being Happy or Unhappy in Haven&Hearth doesnt do anything but I have and idea
Mood

Happy-You gain a certain amount of lp during a certain amount of time has passed depending how happy you are in %

Unhappy-I dont have many ideas for this one but heres one,you may lose lp if you have any if your Unhappy % is really high probaly around 80%
If you have any ideas feel free to share.

You get Happy by killing and doing other things and as for Unhappy I dont really know but this happens to me all the time, It happens when your usually around skeletons(dead people).Thats all i know if you know a diffrent way of getting Happy or Unhappy again feel free to share.
As you can see there isnt many ways of getting Happy or Unhappy so am going to Personal Beliefs.
In personal beliefs you would have Happy and Unhappy,if you choose to go Happy then you would get Happy faster and harder to get Unhappy and for Unhappy it would be easy to get Unhappy and harder to get Happy.
Now i theres a good side to being Happy but not Happy,as i said i dont have many ideas on what would happen if your Unhappy, but there could be a good side to being Unhappy as there would be no use for Unhappy to be in Personal Beliefs.

Also there could be other ways of becoming Happy,Unhappy such as doing certain things or just be around people would make you a little Happy or if you alone then you would be Unhappy.

not so sure about a happy/unhappy belief, perhaps tie certain elements of it into other beliefs, for example;

Life/Death - if you are full death, skeletons aren't so bad anymore and you enjoy the snapping sound that is attained by wrenching that cute little bunny's neck, whereas if you are fully oriented to life, the opposite reactions may occur, and perhaps being around living things like hearthlings, bunnys and bears would increase happiness, especially bears, because e'rrbody loves bears

Martial/Peaceful - Fighting, be it sparring or actual combat would increase the happiness of a character oriented to martial, whereas aforesaid acts have an adverse effect on a peaceful character

Industry/Nature - working machinery such as looms, spinning wheels and all that wonderful stuff makes you happy if you happen to be an industrious little fellow, and naturalistic hearthlings prefer being among plants and doing all that associated with them

I'm sure you see where this is going.

however, happiness could have a further effect on these things, for example an industry character would start to become faster/better at performing industrious acts when he's happy as a result of doing so.

He's talking about the happiness bar dude, not another slider.

Like you know, stand around something dead and you get unhappy, squish frogs and you get happy, that sort of shit.

He never mentioned a new slider, only connected Happiness meter to Personal Beliefs.

It may not effect anything but I think it's BS that we should get unhappy due to some death around. Nothing makes me happier than to have my plot stained red with the blood soaking from the corpses of my huntings.
