claim dissolve

Claims have timers that keep track of when you last loged on. If your account has not logged on for 30 RL days then your claim dissolves.
This idea stems from the fact that my computer runs lagger whenever a claim is nearby.

Try enabling the option "optimized claim highlighting" if you're using Ender's, it should reduce the lag drastically.

Also the idea of claims decaying has already been brought up many times before and to be honest, those threads were better presented than yours.

I think in the future, claims will have a form of upkeep being steeper and steeper the larger they are creating a self correcting mechanism. A little bird might have whispered this in my ear.

You're probably right about that. As for this specific topic, I see it going nowhere. I did however provide a solution to his problem so he shouldn't be complaining.

Thats a poor solution, I wouldn't have made a post if that fixed the problem.

Fix your computer, or turn claim highlighting off when near claims. This really isn't that hard of a problem to solve.

Asides from that, if you want to have your idea be taken seriously you need to put a lot more effort than what you've done.

I just thought of a interesting use for coins.

Amount of coins = how big your claim can be

So make it LP first for increasing claim up to a certain size, then require tin coins until another limit, then copper coins, etc until gold coins up to a final limit.

As for villages make it so that gold coins have no limit how large a village can get and the required amount to increase village size is 1/2 that of a personal claim.

So make the stake more of a treasure chest and coins will determine how big the claim can be and if people reach the stake they can vandalize it and loot the stake if it does have coins.

This can finally give real value to coins.
