Single player sugestion

i know what your thinking "there has already been posts like this" but this is not like the rest because i'm going to give reasons that were not stated before and some suggestions that will work up to singleplayer.

single player benefits:
can play offline (reduces load on server) (or take a page out of blizzards book and make it so that you still need a connection but you are playing in a empty world)
no player vs player (maybe player VS bot?) (still perma-death)
great for new players (practice playing)
testing client updates/modifications (that may help a lot of people)
single player mods (more stuff perhaps?)

single player downsides:
may put more strain on the server (if you go the way of blizzard)
cheaters (only if you put console commands in single player)
private servers (if someone can trace it back somehow)
more crashes (possibly)

how it would work is:
client contacts the server
when connected it will download the map as it would in multiplayer and also will download all the files for the items (hard code it perhaps)
players play
when done playing its saves the toon and the world to the players (specified) save folder

if any one would like to improve on this go ahead (it may mean more chance of it being implemented)
