New Attack Move

"Hack"
Only available with pickaxe in hands, it does high hhp damage (low shp), costing no ip, and damage/weight is based soley on pickaxe q and strength.

But, you lose the pickaxe and it becomes stuck in your victim.
The victim then has a 'thorn in foot' type effect until they remove the pickaxe.
Also, if you butcher an animal that has been killed while the pickaxe is in them, you get the pickaxe at a lower q back.

 should go through armor pretty well too, but 2 quick questions:

shouldn't melee combat have some bearing on it?

wouldn't "Impale" be a better name for it?

Not at all. how would meelee combat have any effect on it.
Perhaps if your opponent is using sheild, and they have a shield then it would deal 0 damage, since the pickaxe is stuck in the shield.
And yes, impale would be a much better name.

This is hilarious but they have to walk around with a pick sticking out of their head. Super Lulz.

Idk for others but for me impale sounds better for a spear

If you get a pick axe in your chest and live, the last thing you want is to remove it without some shaman attention.

Would love to see spears. iron Age germany had both bronze and iron spears and javalins.

New MM weapon with piercing damage that can be aimed while moving, might make MM viable.
Of another era.

So, an attack that specifically focus on armor penetration?

That would apply to most pointed weapons then, swords and pickaxe are the only ones that may 'count' as a pointed weapon for 'stabbing' purposes.

But for swords, Sting is already there as a 2 IP skill.

And giving impale to a pickaxe for a weapon doesn't help a lot of people who has stone axe or a sword as a weapon...

Maybe implementing wood/metal craftable clubs or maces and implementing blunt attacks/weapons that increases damage to armors if it lands.
Some clubs can have spikes in them and allows the 'impale' skill to be used maybe?

Maybe also allow stone axes to have impale, the backside of the axe blade is a pointed tip.
