Small suggestion: Raising Constitution should add 5 HHP

In other words, gains to your MHP should also go into your HHP.

Problem: I have 2 HHP left, luckily have Clovers, but unluckily can't find mouflon for shit. This is my forager/miner/main char, so I can't really do anything until I finish the mouflon hunting minigame, but it's just been dragging on and on... I'm sure I'll find one eventually when I can bring myself to try again, but it's just all very inconvenient. If I could use leeches, at least I'd have a semi-consistent way to grow out of my vulnerability, but at this point in time, I'd just die using them.

Solution: When Constitution goes up, you should gain as many HHP as you do MHP. From a logical point of view (this being an aside and not an argument for), becoming more conditioned should not simply raise the maximum amount of health you can achieve, but your actual current health. But of course, studying sticks won't teach you how to swim and etc., realism and all that not being important.

I tried to keep this simple, as for counter-arguments, I can't think of any. Of course, this probably wouldn't help someone with very high stats, as raising CON wouldn't be a simple task either, but those people also likely have access to sheep. I'd just like to throw this out there as a way to avoid predicaments like this in the future.

Maybe add a ridiculously slow but possible healing duration for when your hhp is low, so that you aren't screwed completely having to leech or gauze.

1 HHP recovery per ingame hour, but only if your hunger is higher than orange.
Maybe it scales with night/day belief.

Because severe injuries takes days to months to recover.
Possible to have bed amplify the HHP recovery process if you used it over a certain period of time, so it grants increased recovery speeds when you log in after going to bed for a period of time.

Bough Bed = 1.25x recovery speed
Straw Bed = 1.50x recovery speed
Sturdy Bed = 2x recovery speed

Another option is to make HHP process only POSSIBLE after you slept for 6 real hours, then login and get 6 ingame hours worth of recovery as a buff.

eating sausages has a chance of not just restoring hhp but bringing it above your max. its not uncommon for my chars to have 224/224/218 from eating about 30-40 sausages.

That's interesting information, I haven't heard of that before. Unfortunately for me, I can't make sausage until I have a meat grinder, and I can't get a meat grinder until I can mine some more copper... and I can't mine until I get more HHP. dragonxkai has also laid out some decent suggestions, slow HHP recovery at <~10% or so would be a good addition to prevent this kind of situation, I think. The gameplay mechanics seem fine how they are, it's just these fringe cases where you can't even take 3 HHP damage that could become a problem.

raising strength can raise your HHP. basicly the only thing to do when you're that low with now wool is to go gain strength til you can leach safely.

also its not the sausages. if you have more HHP than your MHP its because you moved either your death/life slider towards death or your barb/civ slider towards civ.

no..... i finished moving all my sliders a long time ago(towards life and barb even) and ive gained 11hhp above my mhp tonight alone.

its very consistant. its either sausages or str gain because i eat a lot of str sausages.

lol guess it could be strength then. I knew it raised your HHP, but didn't know it could go over your MHP(I must go test this now).
