Wooden Mine Support

Searched all over cant find any topics about it but I have been thinking since snake mining is obsolete, and you need metal for a mine support, why not we give players a lesser version of the mine support.

Would use wood, branches and rope to hold it together. (We all know wooden T joins are very strong, the ancient Chinese used them). Of course the downside is it hold up a very small area, like 2 in each direction. This will help newer players or hermits without access to metal to start off cave mining.

And critic is welcomed.

This has been suggested in every single mining thread, every single mine support thread, every single idea thread.
In every parallel universe.
Edit: I agree though.

I searched thread titles cause if it was suggested in the hidden pages of a mining thread, it might not get noticed.

Okay. Then better quote every point anyone has made about wooden mine supports, to at least continue the discussion instead of making a new one?
I think it should basically be some kind of hardened wooden nails, 3 blocks of wood, and a rope.
Hardened wooden nails would be made out of... 1 block, 1 wax and they would have to be processed (like leather, or drying hide and stuff) instead of crafted.

Speaking from a hermits perspective the current supports are easy for me with a single bar you can make 10 nuggets into 5 supports ive mined more then enough ramdom tiles without supports to learn cave-ins on outside walls are dangerous but not all that common, i wouldnt mind an alternative way to get your first metals easier
Like 'paning rivers' and u could find metal flakes and convert them into nuggets.
And make mining holes less leather intensive, i need to like dedicate the better half of a week just to get the leather/hardleather for one

You can also gather Numen from Ancestors to get the metal needed for a mine support, and avoid "taking chances" when mining.
