Realisticness vs Blanace

Would everyone who plays this game prefer realisticness or balance? Ex. Apples are an easy to come by food source, yet you need about 50 of them to fill you up. making it realistic and needing only 4-5 apples would make things easier, but would make fruits the obvious food source for everyone in the game.

Wouldn't be too obvious after a while, since you waste the time you could up stats with upping nothing at all.

seems pretty straight forward to me...

apple = zero stat gain

Other foods = some stat gain

therefore apples are not an obvious sole source of food

I would be glad to see realism sacrificed in favor of slower combat; If each attack took 30 seconds or so, that would allow some level of strategic thinking.
Surprise.

yeah i found out that certian food give you status'. But it would still apply to the other foods having to be reduced too.
