Tipi huts - animal skins + branches

Postby DeadlyPencil » Mon Dec 28, 2009 6:53 am

Hi,

i read a couple posts where people were wanting tents put into the game. Instead of tents, i was thinking it would be nice if noobies could make a tipi huts out of a couple animal hides and branches. the natives of north amrica used them before we came along.

here is he wiki link if you are not from north america and dont know what they are:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tipi

I think they would be perfect for this game. I have heard people talk about tents, but i think a tipi hut would be more realistic. a tent would most likely be made out of woven material, where as a tipi, is actually made out of animal skins and branches. perfect for a nooby as those are his starting resources.

Tipi's are, in all essence, tents.

Can we also have the tents being portable?
Like you pack them up, journey along and then unpack and settle temporarily.

Not sure where you guys have been but necroing a thread is certainly better than creating a new one if you have something relevant to add.

Portable tipis sounds great for hunters and people who travel a lot.
3 skins + 10 branches?

Or maybe 10 any boughs + 10 branches =Boughts hut (Tipi made of boughts)
And better one ( after learning Leather working)
10 leathers + 10 Branches (Hunter hut)

After clicking on them: 4-6 slots , options: Pack up, sleep
After packing up it takes 4 horizontal slots
