Show if livestock are pregnant

Postby sgtpepper » Mon Dec 28, 2009 7:19 am

Currently there is no way to tell if your animals have a bun in the oven. This gets annoying when you're trying to figure out which cow gave birth as the only thing you can do is leave them in a pen together and watch them for 20 minutes to see if they end up playing hide the chorizo.

Give us some sort of indication on the animal's info screen showing whether or not they are pregnant and how far along it is. Maybe it shouldn't tell if the pregnancy is in an early stage, but definately the later stages as it would be showing.

Also, how about some way to get bulls and rams to start mating so we don't have to watch them forever? Maybe some sort of "handshake" ....based on charisma.

a pregnancy indicator and timer would be quite helpful, as would a milk capacity meter.

They show how much milk the animal has and you know their preggy when magic happens. to speed it up i lead the bull near the female or viceversa if you have the bull leashed unleash him and the magic accurs. or just lead the female near the bull and eventually something will happen.

they show the "milk quantity", they don't show how much is actually in the udder... how am i supposed to tell if the calf has eaten, or if my villagemate has already milked that cow?

In addition to these fine suggestions, I'd like to be able to see who are the parents of a particular calf. A full family tree would be neat, but seeing just the parents would do the trick too.

I suggest they have a mouse-over pop up for cows, showing either a loaf of bread in a heart signifying pregnancy (a bun) and a jar of milk either empty, 1/4 2/4 3/4 or full.
