[ideal]Dock

It been said before but people are asking for more then just the dock in there topic.
SO here is my idea for a dock

a 1x1 platfrom that can go on water edge to the end of the shallow water (no need for GAINT long docks to block water way's

so on normal a dock will be only 1 sqaure out from land area's 4-5 on beachs

NOW for my main key idea of why to add a dock. if your boat is near the dock of 0-1 square away form the dock no matter what you will be transported onto the dock (YES NO DEEPWATER MSG)

I am very on the idea of puting stuff on dock....but i'd say no, you may only stand, so no glitchs can happen and you get stuck or w/e

And that is my dock idea, what you guys think...and i rather not talk about adding a bigger boat b/c of a dock.

Would be sufficient if the moment the user gives the leave command the client moves the boat toward the next shallow water (can be skipped in case the boat already is there), then selects the next (in terms of proximity) free (in terms of avatar can stand there) accessible (in terms of no wall in the way) tile on the land and asks the server nicely to put the avatar there - which will comply after checking boat in shallow water, and that the target tile is accessible from current position and within reasonable range.

I only see one problem with that, the boat will
A)jump to the spot making it look cute'ie
B)Some one will make a GAINT long deck along there beach and the ship will jump way down to the shallow end
~or some one on a river builds a long one and it will jump to the other side of the river since it is the closest one

I just think it should connect with the same dock as you have gotton off on, this way you can just jump on and off it + with many boats this can make it more organized...boat by boat how nice?

Have the player click the dock to receive a 'Dock' action which causes the boat to move to and connect to the dock, the boat will assume a consistent orientation/position along the dock and a rope will appear connecting the boat and dock. At that point the player may select 'leave' in the normal manor and is placed on the end of the dock. In addition some kind of security feature would be nice as well and I can only see it making sense if its part of the dock rather then the boat itself.

+1 to that, The idea of clicking the dock for the action. that will save you time of not trying to connect your boat to it, lol.

i have no idea and mostly have forgot how to code but in a easy sorta HTM way here it is (no C++ THANK GOD) this more will just show what will happen no codeing done

you right click dock
msg pops up dock ship
you left click dock ship
[
>Dock tests location of self
>>if Dock is in water on west side and land on east side ~~~<---Dock being 0,0 of x and y
>>>ship moves to area of dock (-1,0)
>>dock finds self connect to dock -boat value change to [ship=2]
>>dock value change to [dock=2]
>>>dock and boat image change to boat&dock ~~~<---this will add a rope
]
you left click boat
you click leave ship
[
if boat value is = to 2
>player tranported to dock of value of 2
]

I may have added more value/varbles but im to lazy and i suck at spelling and grammer.
BUT that sorta how i think it whould work.

Rule #1 of H&H is that you don't talk about H&H.

Luckily that's not a problem because nobody who plays H&H has any friends to talk to.
Surprise.
