Karma, breaking and cattle

Postby Barzl » Tue Jun 30, 2009 9:25 pm

First off: Thank you for making this fabulous game. (That must do, as entirely expressing my love for this project might have been flattering but doesn't belong in this threat.)

Here are a few thought I had:
(I didn't read the entire "Critique & Ideas" so some might have been mentioned before.)

- breaking objects can yield some of the initial resources (or perhaps something else e.g. a bee hive yields a straw basket)

- wooden objects can be burned using a torch on them resulting in ashes or coal in case e.g. when burning a house

- the karma-meter could be revived on the believe-page and have an effect on the outcome of reincarnations
(possibly even negate the effect of "change" if karma is very good, would have to be hard to achieve though)

- keeping cows/sheep/chicken like cattle (locked in an area) maybe with specific fences
--> keept animals perish if they are in a too small area (required area size varies with the spieces. chicken need little, deer needs very much space
--> keept animals perish if the ground isn't apropriate (grass for cows, forest for deer)

- pharmacy would be great to extract drugs as an additional healing method and for religous rites (whatever these will be
good for)
That's it for now.

i disagree with the karma part, because depending on what your playing style is bad should be good in some cases.
The ones who see things differently.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

As it turns out I should have read the entire "Critique & Ideas"

About the karma I agree that my suggestion is very one sided. The main thought was that the karma only takes effect upon incarnation and the only thing on my mind it could influence are stats.
