I don't know how many people have played with casting IRL, but in my experience what I call slag is a high-metal content glass like substance, which can be remelted, and a small portion of the metal reclaimed, the glassed portion is completely worthless for anything unless you like making coloured non-food safe glazes for pottery, but it's quite colorful (at least my copper slag has been) and would undoubtedly look nice as a glaze for vases and the like. In my little workshop here I like to try to use everything until nothing is left, and I in turn, and very unrealistically like to do that elsewhere. The only material wasted is the material left unused, at least that's my point of view on it, as flawed as it may be. Please do, discuss.
