If you are talking about the IPA(International Phonetic Alphabet) then thats very misleading as salt actually uses either the sound "ɔ" or "ɒ" not "o".

Then represent what you are saying with symbols that are accurate.
You were misleading by using the wrong one and insisting its the right one.

Not really, stop pulling facts out of your arse.

For example in the native language of Jorb and Loftar there is no such sound at all (the closest being the one represented by letter "Å" but phonetically it's not really the same "O" as, f.e. in Russian).

And it's so fitting that you end up arguing with native speakers about how they should pronounce things. Such a nice allegory to your ideas for the game you have next to no idea about how to improve gameplay for people who really play it.
