Let us host our own hafen servers that would be scriptable. I want to remove all the garbage features(I mean like ~50% of the game features) and have a nice gameplay experience for once

Someone with enough skills and motivation could most likely reverse-engineer at least basic HnH server functionality rather easily by spoofing what the client receives (since client is open source I assume you don't need to worry that much about what client sends, people reverse engineering WoW servers had to figure that out as well.)

Also nobody bothered to do that for City of Heroes before it got shut down, so some mad lad had to reverse-engineer server from scratch, having only the compiled client to work with.
