They make plenty from hats to live on plus whatever other projects or jobs they have.

It's not whining bud but devotion to seeing developers earn what they deserve vs the community of crabs that would pull them down into obscurity.

Again my solution gives everyone what they want - haven as it is and continually that free to play.

They would need to bring on dozens of moderators and monitor their actions to avoid favortism.

pay to access prevents the griefing, and even if people choose to pay to create accounts for grief good that's compensation to the devs. PvE eliminates competition in the traditional sense. People can choose to try and grief but this wont be a consistent with the way current claim mechanics work; especially sped up.
