Obviously. However, that doesn't take the responsibility off the poster for actually describing what the issue is, even if it seems overly obvious. The obvious statement would be "newly planted trees shouldn't have apples," to which the reply is "but that sort of thing takes time that is better spent elsewhere." In this case, an apt title would have been more than enough.
If you notice, all the trees are the same in the small version as the full sized. (Actually not sure if all of them are just miniature versions of the larger ones, but at least most are. And if memory serves, a couple of the trees in legacy were just scaled down versions of the full grown tree.) That's one of the downsides of 3D graphics. It becomes harder to make a graphic like we used to have in the old 2D version where trees "developed" as they grew. Most people will notice this same thing in a lot of other games, too. Developing 3D assets really is more time and money consuming than 2D. The big difference is in things like animation and maintenance where costs start to become cheaper.
