Agility in Nioh 2

Postby NancyCWells » Tue Jul 01, 2025 5:29 am

Hi everyone,

I have a few questions about Agility and its effects in Nioh 2tap road. Does Agility affect attack speed? Is there such a thing in Nioh 2?

From my observation it seems that higher agility allows me to move, run and attack faster. However, could this also be related to the type of weapon I am using?

Can anyone help me answer this question all comments I thank you in advance.

Hello,
1. In Nioh 2, Agility is a stat category derived from your current equipment weight relative to your total equipment weight limit. It's labeled A, B, C, or D on your status screen.

A Agility = Fastest Ki recovery, best dodge i-frames, lowest Ki consumption for dodging/blocking.

C/D Agility = Slower Ki recovery, heavier stamina (Ki) costs for actions like dodging and blocking.

However — Agility DOES NOT directly affect attack speed
2. Yes — there is an "Attack Speed" mechanic in Nioh 2, but it's not tied to Agility. Instead:

Attack Speed Up effects can come from:

Certain armor set bonuses (like Red Demon Armor’s "Attack Speed Up" on grapple or low health)

Accessories (like Yasakani Magatama or other rare accessories with attack speed bonuses)

Scrolls of the Demon or Scrolls of the Wise (endgame loot)

Onmyo Magic Buffs (like Quick Change Scroll doesn't increase attack speed, but other talismans may boost certain movement or skill performance)

Guardian Spirit abilities or Soul Cores in some cases

I noticed the same thing as you! Agility in Nioh 2 does make the character move, run and attack faster. However, I think the attack speed also depends on the weapon type, each type has its own animation and speed.
