I still want to know what Jordan Coles' involvement was. Could anyone elaborate?

There are a lot of valid arguments that dictates that it is logically a bug. What the developers will do about it is still up in the air, though.

people are arguing that because we didnt ram or catapult we raided it with a bug not very logical tbh, nothing more than a clever use of game mechanics

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_bug

"A software bug is an error, flaw, failure or fault in a computer program or system that causes it to produce an incorrect or unexpected result, or to behave in unintended ways."

Tell me, do you think that the devs' intentions align with the way that the system works under the conditions described in this thread? If not, then it is a bug. There is no debate or room for opinion here.

Now, using a bug does not inherently make it punishable. It depends on the results of its use. This is where a lot of the autism in this thread is coming out, because a lot of people aren't capable of making that distinction.

I'm pretty sure that part was 100% obvious

In this case I think it's fair to say that if they fix it, it's a bug; if they don't, then it's not.

Well, if you're not either peacefully doing the hermit thing, or setting up some weird benevolent empire, you're not doing things that align with the devs' intentions. The thing is that every step taken in this raid is legal, point out a simple step that's illegal. Doing more than one character is actually "bug abusing", by this definition, any person with a miner character, or a combat alt would be a "bugouuoser".

If your enemy allows you to spawn HF's inside their walls they're pretty much asking to get raided.

pucha

personally i think nothing of great value was lost in raiding tart. most of us quit already due to boredom.

I'm fairly neutral on this, and though I personally feel this was kind of a dick move, I'm fine with whatever jorbtar decides to do about it.
W3 to W6 - Blockland. Special mentions: New Avalon, Tarn of Hotdog, Red October.
W7 - Elvenia, til we all got lazy.
W8 - Cult of R'lyeh, til the deeps called us back.
W9 - Tartarus, til death/wizards came for the land itself.
W10 - ???, ruined and forgotten.

I'm not sure I myself would entirely consider it a bug more than a developer oversight. Although I do agree that instead of them exploiting this they should have reported it instead. But if they do get nuked for this (everyone seems to love throwing nuke around xP) then DiS should have gotten nuked as well for exploiting mechanics to surround their village with a bunch of mini villages for extra defense.

I can see this possibly getting fixed. I just got home from dinner with family so I haven't read many of the new posts but I'm assuming it is still about them using a charter stone to spawn in a character to bypass the visitor debuff. Simply i think the fix should make any character that spawns or hearths inside a completely walled in claim with gates should get said debuff inside regardless if they walked through a gate or not. Though I'm sure there are people who would disagree with this as well, but can't really make everyone happy. :|
