You were born in America? How did your English get so bad?

That's a stupid question. Americans don't speak English in the first place.

United States American is English speaker.

Let's just agree on the fact that there was aggression coming from both parties all of which could have been avoided and dealt with in a much better way but that is the past now. I apologise on behalf of my villagers actions, but you must know, if you attack someone, they will attack back.

GenghisKhan44 wrote:My singular point is that, if you mean to guard a village, guard the village, not your bruised pride. Guard the villagers; do not assume all of them are spies. We were joking about that last night. Paranoia is too easy a trap to fall into. Treat others with respect and patience, and you can win them over.

Otherwise, you will kill anyone, because you will trust no one. And that will make you worse than the bad villages.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand where this guard village comes from? As I had previously stated, we have only advised them against allowing the obvious spies in. Of course, we'd help them if needed, but they are a capable village who have successfully removed AD/Shubla spies with little help from Arkandia. Also, when have you heard of my village disrespecting and killing people who may be infiltrating the Abbey? The dispute in regards to Juno actually had nothing to do with suspecting her to be a spy, although I will admit, as the argument progressed the focus shifted more towards that which I would apologise for but I believe it was confirmed she was in fact a spy? I don't know, but please, do not paint Arkandia to be a bad village because we are definitely not that.

I think we can agree to that much. :)

OK, going over my chatlog, it did start pretty well. Bear and I were talking about the Mine, and about Purus. And how we hated his guts. Good, good. And Mr. Bear Grylls - I've been miswriting it, sorry - seemed a decent chap. When he started talking to Juno, though - what can I say? I trusted Juno. He was a hard worker. The way Bear was digging into Juno was hostile. I defended my friend from someone who seemed to hate him.

I don't know why it went so downhill from there...

I'm sorry, but I don't understand where this guard village comes from? As I had previously stated, we have only advised them against allowing the obvious spies in.[/quote]

Anyway, this idea came to me when Bear said this, the night before I was murdered, after he'd grilled Juno and we'd all gotten confused about what Abo is.

[2016-08-07 22:42:04] Bear Grylls: Survival Expert: You realize
[2016-08-07 22:42:12] Bear Grylls: Survival Expert: the only thing stopping them sieging this place is Arkandia?
...
[2016-08-07 22:42:26] Bear Grylls: Survival Expert: Abbey has no soldiers
...
[2016-08-07 22:42:39] Bear Grylls: Survival Expert: We have soldiers and back up
...
[2016-08-07 22:42:48] Bear Grylls: Survival Expert: Because sieging takes time
[2016-08-07 22:42:55] Bear Grylls: Survival Expert: and within that time
[2016-08-07 22:43:01] Bear Grylls: Survival Expert: We would have a platoon of soldiers here
[2016-08-07 22:43:08] Bear Grylls: Survival Expert: and they would die

So the idea, not explicitly, but in so many words, came from Bear Grylls. It gave me the idea that somehow this guy believed we owed our safety to Arkandia. That Arkandia was a village guarding the Abbey.

Forgive me if I am painting you in absolute Nazi red. I don't mean to do that. But Bear Grylls is a speck of pink that, left unchecked, might turn red, and then the rest of your colony. I beg you not to let that happen. Now, when it is clear they are malignant, OK. Rip 'em open. And if it was confirmed that Juno was a spy I certainly didn't know, so forgive me if that was already settled. But it didn't seem confirmed to me; only that he was pretending to be Danish. And that's not a crime. And it CERTAINLY was not confirmed that I took a bunch of high value curios before one of your villagers decided to attack my pali.

I only want more diplomacy. If I am a cloud cuckoolander for asking for that, well, so be it. But I just hate the distrust and what seems to me to be needless hostility between people.

Wait-wait, so you thought that the village you are in has no soldiers, therefore it is safe to steal. However, after you have been unexpectedly killed, you are talking about diplomacy and hostility among the people. ilold

Actually, yeah, you're right. America was a bunch of blackguards and self-serving rogues even before it became a nation. It completely defeated any purpose for its existence with Shay's Rebellion. What was I thinking?

Nevertheless, the sentiment remains the same. I guess I shall just have to attribute it to Ireland, Poland, and the Cristeros instead.
