I'd argue that not punishing bug abuse promotes not reporting bugs. I mean, if you can gain a huge advantage with it, and there's no downside to using it, why the hell would you ever report it and have it removed? If on the other hand the punishment for abuse is much higher than the profits, it doesn't make sense to save it for later.

There are a few things that I'd like to point out.
  1. If it is OK to abuse unintended mechanics for testing, does that mean there's going to be a lot of craters where villages used to be?
  2. Is it OK for people to lose their base over someone else's eternal alpha exploit discovery?
  3. I wish they didn't copy pasta the story from their R'lyeh raid last world.

It's funny since if DIS did this I'm sure everyone would be begging for a nuke again.

This.

If anything, maybe we should create a bigger reward for finding and squashing bugs- and maintain this level of punishment for abusing a bug.

Yeah this very much. OP was a clusterfuck and I didn't understand a thing until people told me specifically.

I don't think it was intended that palisades wouldn't have time to soak until people had vandal this world, either. Still, Dis did do that this world, no nuke.

Then go and cry when you discover your politics are stealing the money your dads pay in taxes. OF course reporting it is never as rewarding as getting the money, especially when the ones creating the laws are in the same party as the ones abusing it.

If you find funny fucking other people just by having info others dont have go fuck yourself. This lack of ethics has driven us all here.
Then everybody cryes when blood is involved.

Lack of ethics? Are you retarded? Do you think it's unethical to raid someone? Unlike in real life, online you can choose which game you play. If you want to farm without a possibility of getting raided, you can choose any game without PvP. The people not only raided someone successfully (which the victim could've avoided by playing a different game), which gives them profits from finding the abuse, but also made the abuse float to the surface which lets the devs fix it.

Exactly because of what Ozzy said, they shouldn't be nuked. Faulty game mechanics float up much faster if you're allowed to use game mechanics any way you want.
And I'm sure Ozzy wouldn't steal from someone IRL where it's definitely unethical, but in this game, the victims CHOSE to play the game where getting raided is part of the game. The raiders chose to use that part of the game to get fat loot and good for them.

If you cant undesratand the anology prolly you are the retard. You are pointing the finger here instead of the moon.
