Oakheart Recruiting

Postby Jacobian123 » Sat Jul 16, 2016 7:18 pm

Welcome to Oakheart's recruitment topic! We're closely associated with Vidarrheim Abbey (topic is here: viewtopic.php?f=56&t=50161) and trade with people in the surrounding area regularly. Much of our trade is done via river but we're looking to build roads for faster and easier trading.

UPDATE 7/25/16

Well, a lot of progress has been made at the village. Thanks to everyone who has joined and has helped so much so far! Special thanks to: Gundham, Avafyr, and Giuseppe for their eagerness to help the village grow.

Recently we've acquired new lands around Oakheart, thus securing the area around. We're looking to settle new palisaded farming plots around the main village. Also in the works is a village market, held in the upper north section. When complete it will hold at least 8 barter stands and will be open to both village-goers and local traders. Warehouse space will be provided upon request (must be in the village to hold a barter stand.)

View on the construction site of the new market:

Another part of the newly acquired lands is the new Fort Fantastic, which will be both a barracks for warriors and housing for anyone who wishes to farm.

Fort Fantastic, displayed with center tower and double palisade. Layout subject to change.

We're mostly looking for:

-farmers
-miners
-fishermen
-crafters (includes but not limited to: curiosity crafters, cooks, potters, builders, leatherworkers, etc)
-druids (trees and silk)

As always, we're willing to take any skill level within reason (must have at least basic knowledge of the game mechanics.)

PM me or post here if you're interested.

Area around my base recently got somewhat "nab-infested", it's like a mating season here tbh... and genuine ones, too, I've barely stopped one from building a palisade starting with 4 cornerposts legacy-style... Just kididng, ofcourse, in a way of good-hearted person that I am, they're nice people. So, more to the point, would you object terribly if I sent some of them your way to settle or something? I don't mind company but roundpole camps every 1.5 grids is bit too much.

Well it sure looks like someone here forgot his ABCs.
Edit: I've received a lot of confused comments about "what is ABC's and how do they relate to characters being killed". To terminate any remaining confusion, the ABCs are: "A sensible way to Behave is to help anyone you meet as long as you're sure you Can bash their heads in, if need be".

And people wonder why we have so few players.

Just a friendly note, probs you'd want to change your signature. Seeing as you're recruiting for a brand new and promising village and it's still w9 out there =)

Just wait until they turn every single tree in the whole area into palisades :3

There are way more reasons for that. The war on Newbs wasn't half as effective then one would have expected.

You make this one up? Seeming loose to me. How about ''always be careful.''
