I've given up my hopes and dreams of villages, instead, I'm working on opening a place where new people can temporarily call home until they're adopted by villages. You see, I learned to grow up quick in this brutal and unforgiving world, and because of my under-privileged background as an outcast in the Hearthling world, I realize there's a need... of course, I've been told it's in a dangerous neighborhood, but where else would one expect to find an under funded foster care system? So, perhaps soon, you'll discover the opening of "Lilly's Home for Wayward Hearthlings" (a place so poor, even the name was donated), where wide-eyed and hopeful Hearthlings can grow up in a semi-slight-almost-but-not-quite-protected place until they're cute enough to be adopted by villages, or strong enough to not be murdered by ant colonies.

I'm a hermit, I wasn't really recruiting you. My village has a total villager count of 1.
Your words makes me think we've met before because I was blabbering about this same thing for half of w7 and for almost the same reasons. I'm willing to give you my old place for your project. Included: village idol, palisades (pl.), iron mine, and the certainty that it will eventually be raided by one of the two large factions of which it stands between. PM me if you want it and think it could be better than your current location.

Well, first, thank you for the offer; I wish I could accept it, but my heart now belongs to this little place of happiness and joy that I've somehow managed to raise up from the ground through blood, sweat, and admittedly, maybe a few tears during one hormonal outburst. It's not much, but it's home!

Though, now I'm curious, what factions is it sitting between? Dangerous neighborhoods seem to be my thing, apparently, lol.

And no, that wouldn't have been me... this is my first world, and I only started playing a few weeks ago. Perhaps, I'm playing too much, though!
