Farmer for Hire

Postby yetruo » Thu Mar 17, 2016 3:24 am

I like farming, all i need are a few seeds and a nice protected plot of land to work on. i get on once a day to tend to my crops and harvest them. if you want me as your farmer message me and we will talk about it. i have a few requirements as listed below.
- Plot of land (a 20-20 or larger plot of protected land for farming)(protected meaning palisade walls around, or a start for palisade walls)
- Housing (A 6*6 or larger area for a house to be built)(or a 6*6 house that is already built)
- curios (dosn't have to be much, but its all going to go into farming so if you want good quality crops you gotta give me more curios)(poppy plants give curios so if i have some poppy seeds i can grow my own)
- a beacon for me to make a new character to
- seeds(preferably barley poppy and flax)

Here is what you will get
- 75% of produce harvested rounded up
- 50% of profited seeds(eg after i replant you get 50% of them)(only once the farm is big enough)

so yeah theres that. message me and we can talk about a beacon and my hearth secret.

Pardon my curiosity, but why would you need 50% of everything ?

I mean 50% of seeds would mean you always replant the same number, so you won't increase production.

Plus the fact that wth would people do with seeds, if they hire you to do the farming in the first place :)

well i need some food, but i guess 50% is a little much. also i said you get 50% of seeds after i replant, meaning that once i plant more you would get half of that, ill edit it.

if people already have seeds ready for planting, why would they want someone to come along with a freshspawn and start farming, you get the most produce/seeds when you have druidic rite and i doubt anyone is willing to farm up your freshspawn alt all that LP of curios for a stranger to just take their crops and do his own farming.

Is this capitalism common in villages? I was assuming that most villages ran under communism or some sort of dictatorship.

Exactly.

Most of the people would rather make a farming alt or recruit a new villager than strike your deal.

I advise you to simply seek recruiment in a village as a regular farmer. Don't ask for a pay, you will get foragers/hunters/miners etc.. products and will give yours.
