@Jorb, If there is no other in-game objective for the factions, they will inevitably start sieges on faction capitals, a bit smaller guys and etc. This rather shows that re-working the sieging should not be about destroying culture and civilization, but more about kingdoms, borders, key resource nodes and etc. If destroying a capital takes as much time and res. as destroying some village claim, that covers some local resource nodes, it's only logical to attack the capital.

The main resource is the time, ofc. In-game stuff is pretty easy to organise and gather, but getting people to stay online for 16+ hours is a different thing.

This is what has happened in W9, when we attacked Beacon. The major reasoning was them taking over resources in the new grid. But instead of targeting multiple idols everywhere, we went to their main city.
We have even suggested them to give us a share of the res. in exchange for leaving their capital intact (3000-5000 shield left, at that point).

Could be. Devs always like the power gamers and those that can figure out how to break the system so it can be fixed. Well, most do anyway. I've certainly heard a few rants from devs that didn't want to try to bother fixing unbalanced systems.

Note: was going to edit this in in my last post, but since another showed up...

I think this is as much a sign we need a larger player base for the current mechanics--large enough to where lead as well as the active roles and duties can be handed off in shifts so people don't kill themselves from lack of sleep, food, or whatever trying to manage a large group activity. (I won't argue about adjustments to the system; beyond my field of expertise.)

Shifts aren't going to happen, the winning group will be the one that doesn't work in shifts, but their whole group online for 20 hours, just like it is now.
