I cannot resist asking...

How long did you guys consider the possible solutions to this problem?
Because this 'fix' screams to me '5 minute fix'. Not just to think of, but including the time it took to code in.

I cannot fathom the reason why you would half ass something that takes so much time out of your day to undo, I really cannot.

yeah so it would in your case be "as effective" because you would seal your corners and make your claim fuck-all huge

Not to mention the fact people in this thread have put fourth several ideas that are better thought through and less harmful to the playerbase than this 5 minute fix.

what i cannot fathom is how youve been with the game so long and still find this sort of update unusual

hm yeah, that is a drawback. like i said though, pallisades need some serious resistance to decay adjustment.
