Wild Windsown Seeds aren't hard to find guys. I leveled my exploring form 7 to 8 and almost instantly found one in a hearthland. No need to over react.

New map is awesome. Can't understand problem with clay. I dig out about 200 pieces of clay from one place and it is still there.

Sounds good- what Q are you getting? It may be a bug of some kind, or you may be one of the lucky ones.

Anyone see any "brambles" or anything? I heard there was a new terrain type that's really tough to cross. Sounds like a fun place to make a fortress.
Surprise.

I found a Q15 clay spot about 5 minutes walk from my hearth (not near a river, so I plan on finding me a well), so I guess I got lucky. It extends down to Q11 about 50 tiles in either direction. If you happen to find a couple haphazardly cut down trees next to a river in otherwise pristine country, that's likely the spot. It doesn't really bother me that it isn't very high quality, as right now I'm hermiting and really only need to carry about 100 pieces back for a kiln and an oven.

My spot is about 50 tiles wide and have max ql 11 for now. I believe it was 20 tiles wider before I start to dig. :)

Bollocks, Mine is at 10 and I've yet to see one anywhere on the grassland I'm homesteading, and no where else either. If they only appear on a certain terrain they should fing say so.

I'm not finding the branch or fruit restrictions all that bad, you don't just walk to the nearest fruit tree and chow down for 10 minutes but that was always boring anyways. Stockpiling foods a little bit more important now which is good. Likewise with branches, you just remember to grab some when your out and about and bring them back with you, no big deal. Someone in my village already found clay so again not a show stopper.

The new "stem-cell plants" as I call them dose sound like it will solve the problem of never being able to find wheat but I think it would have been much simpler to have all the plants types occur as singles scattered about like taproot, nettles and blueberries. Everyone is able to find these plants and it would have solved the problem without adding the additional drying step which seems to exist for no purpose other then as a time sink.

I like the change to FEP, the fractions feel a lot more natural and eliminate the very annoying 'threshold' of 10 quality that I previously found so vexing to pass as a newb, I do wonder how it affects onions though, no more scarfing <10 raw onions, could some simply onion cooking method be created in the future, perhaps including them in a meat stew? The -10 to Bar size with food variety is a good first step to encourage diversity but I suspect it will collapse in effectiveness as level increases unless a LOT more food varieties are added. Also it can be tricky to remember what has been eaten or not eaten yet each bar full, perhaps some kind on indication to the player if a particular food item will or will not low bar size, the simplest thing I can think of is to actually change the popup "Eat" to display a different word such as Savor/Devour/Relish if the food is going to give the desirable lower bar size effect. Humm, might want to start a suggestion thread on that.
