horses confirmed

will they have a quality as in, higher quality horses will be faster or have more stamina?

I remember in UO you could train up your horse's attributes by having them fight random monsters. At least according to myth. Hard to say for sure since it was impossible to directly view their statistics. I also remember that I went through, like, sixteen of them and had to keep coming up with new names that were variations on the same theme every time one got killed out from under me or something.

They were pretty great! I'm getting nostalgia already.

There were shards on UO with custom coding that would allow you to get exact numbers from the appraise skill, so you could identify stat growth in creatures you'd tamed. I have no clue if that eventually became an actual feature for the primary server.

Hmm sounds like cavalry will be arriving. :) Only down note, another animal to raise and maintain. Should be fun though.

Hey, what is the most similar game to UO at the moment, how do you think? Never played UO by myself, i was young and without internet =\
Runescape maybe?
