You sound exactly like a low effort spy alt.

Since you're posting that I have to say Long is one of the most legit players I've met since I've started playing. He has in fact taught me all the basics of the game.
At any given point in time he knew more about the game than our entire village combined, and I think he's been around since w3. He organized a scavenger hunt for new brodgar villagers once, and he was LS of an Emerald City satellite in w7. What he meant by city planning is that he specializes in it. He's really good at it. If you're worried about him being useless or an alt I can confirm he's neither.
I haven't seen him in a while but I think if you're creating a LARP village and want lots of things built he's probably what you need.

Look, a pot calling a kettle black.

I've done more in this game than you can even fathom.

As for the other replies. Cool. :)

Thanks for the good words, Ven.

I recall this guy posting a view back; though I cannot recall details but I do not sense anything malicious. Also since ven is vouching for this guy, that should be a positive thing.

truer words are rarely said. but it dosent change the fact that to most players youll still be just some rando, and your "looking for a place to live" thread sounds more like a "looking for a place to freeload" thread.
