Actually, today's Amber update reintroduces GPS back into the client.

Little bit of theft, but otherwise, I have not been bothered. Met a ton of friendly players. Moved around a bit and enjoying it down in the dirty south.

Western Continent has been very peaceful. I never saw any scents (save one trespassing scent from my own alt) until I hopped into a whirlpool and ended up at the Southern Continent two days ago (after which I found scents within less than five minutes).
