Quality doesn't affect mental weight, my guy. Also, base Mother of Pearl MW is 15, so even if it did, you'd need a q90 one to get 45 MW.

If you could prove to me Mother of Pearl scales its mental weight with quality unlike every other curio in the game and also does so totally differently from the way the quality scale works for every other item in the game, that'd be great, because at the moment you look like a serious troll.

So assuming i was right, it just doesn't matter that you could have studied, and also had it as no1 in your desk therefor meaning it's the first thing prioritized to be studied? What is your logic?

I sit corrected... But since the Mother of pearl only need 15 int to study, it still could have been studied - it doesn't take many blueberry pies and fishwraps to get there.

You can easily hit 15 INT in the first couple hours of the game with just blueberries and a few nuts and such if you drop into the right biome and push up just a bit of exploration... No need for fishing. With fishing, you can hit 40 INT in a few hours (first day, anyway) with a hard push and the right catch.
