Hey,

It really is much too close to a big base like that, you should always explore your area first and never settle where you spawn, well unless you are incredibly lucky and spawn in the middle of nowhere with every biome you need!
Whilst you check about and see what's around you, it's possible to gather a large amount of lp from discoveries on trees, bushes and rocks, when you find a quiet place to settle where you are not in the way of other bases you will have enough to get yeomanry and put down your pclaim to protect your spot until you get a pali up.
The other place you see nearer to them is likely to be to do with them.

It may seem unfair to you atm but really it is just common sense not to build on top of other players. I don't mean to sound unsympathetic, I know it seems a big thing to you at the start of your game and it would have been nice if they had let you know earlier that you were too close, but instead of just giving up and quitting why don't you just see it as a learning experience and move on, in game terms atm you really haven't lost that much.
You can build a Dugout with just the boatbuilding skill and a log for crossing rivers early game, set fire to it for 20 mins and you are good to go. At this stage you will probably find plenty just left at river banks that you can use. Travel around and find a nice spot where you are not interfering with others growth or blocking expansion or roads and start again. Finding a cave entrance is also handy for staying inconspicuous, setting up drying frames and storing some mats such as wood blocks.
This is a great game and worth a few beginner set backs imo,

... it's the same with most games, you learn and progress much faster with each attempt.
Good luck moving on if you decide to give it another go.
