Okay can someone admit who raided my village when all the gates you could've come inside through is a visitor gate and that you were able to come inside our houses instantly and KO my villager and steal things inside even though the doors were locked? Unless a normal gate was left open. Honestly I'm stumped at how you have done this seemingly perfect crime, again, unless a normal gate was stupidly left open.

Admit so I can learn from it and play again in the next world and become spiteful and not peaceful anymore because of the experience lol. Does my corpse even exist?

You should never, ever have a gate that lead directly to the outside that isn't a visitor gate. Ever.

Also check your minehole, if you have one. Always have it palisaded, both inside and in the cave.

And finally, always have the entirety of your base covered by your claim; It doesn't matter if you have visitor gates if all people have to do is walk inside and step outside of your claim (to get rid of the visitor debuff) while still being inside your base.

While very frustrating (i've been there, too), it's best to take it as a learning experience and be more careful next time.

To emphasize, it's ONE claim, not part by your village, part by a personal claim. If you have to split your base like this for any reason, make sure there is a wall with a visitor gate there that they have to pass through that is on the other claim so they are tagged as visitor to both.

Well I mean I made so if an attack happened while I was outside, I could run in through those kinds of gates. The cave in my base is gated with visitors and I think I have all area inside my walls claimed.

Probably it was inside job, and there is two scenarios:
1. Check all basements if somebody had build minehole to bypass visitor debuff.
2. Someone from villagers with full perms was online but "afk" and most likely they was in party giving party permissions to this attacker.

This is why you use airlock gates with outer gate being non-visitor and inner visitor. Close the non-visitor if you make it to airlock, and you'll be safe. Unless they decide that killing you is worth the effort of bringing in materials for catapult and you're bad ad dodging rocks about to fall to your head.

So it turns out one of the guys was caught. I was sent a picture and compared it to screenshots from my villager who was the witness.

I think my villager said there were 3 of them though, but I only have pictures showing 2 of them.
Justice has been served I guess.

I'm still wondering how they got in.
