Preferred Method of Fishing?

Because I don't leave till I've caught two chestfuls, which takes a lot of room. And I only eat when I feast, so snacks are not an option.

really? Now that I didnt know. when did that happen, and what are the chances in fish, like what kinds can you get with it? eels maybe for me plz?

If you live near a swamp, leeches make great bait. No stamina lost getting them. I'm usually injured and have covered myself in leeches. Since I just started, nothing else takes up all those equip. slots so they are like a storage area for bait, freeing up cargo room for more fish. Makes for a ghastly mental image but its very efficient!

i don't recall exactly when it was added, it was fairly recent though, a month or two ago, maybe? and like all bait and lures, it's a mystery which fish you'll get (and also depends on the other components somewhat).

There is a pattern to what fish you get, though I don't know it exactly. I usually try different fish jump spots until I get a fish I like and though there is some variation, the same precise spot seems to mainly yield the same fish species, as long as nothing with your equipment changes. For example, I fished one place and got 1 Bream, 1 Brill and 6 Plaice. This was in some river shallows. Per wiki, Plaice only live in lake shallows so take that fishing guide with a grain of salt... I was using bloated leeches, bone hook, taproot and q8 pole, so nothing fancy.

I don't know much about fishing (in terms of really in-depth stuff) but I can offer this piece of advice: Replace your crates with straw baskets. They have an extra square of space, and the space is more efficient as well.

My most prefered fishing method: AFK alt fishing. Seriously the LP gain from it is atrocious to do on a main and the time you invest fishing is generally better gained from doing some other things actively. It also doesn't help that many seafood are tricolor FEPs.
