New Player Here, just found the game

I forgot for a second that this game was Java based, too much on screen back on Diablo 2 would crash, and Guildwars would lag with rain. Jeff from Nodiatis has a large browser game Java based, and Chris has Vantage but he knows some Java. I'll msg them 1 of these days and see if they might know a reason it could be happening. If I can figure anything out, I'll DEFINATELY let you guys know. That is... if anyone will update the game if we find out how to fix the lag problem.

Grelko - only the client is Java based - Server code programming language is C - and the I/O latency has to do with XFS filesystem on Debian 6 - so no need to ask others (and get answers that won't be helpfull like Dill before ). Also be assured Loftar knows where whom to ask and he does! It's mainly a problem of having time to care - not so much of knowledge ...

so basically, the makers/updaters for this game aren't worrying about it too much anymore cause they're working on other projects? we'll it was worth a try asking about it though.

Loftar and Jorb prolly worry but as stated different times their priority is Salem which they do for earning money to live while HnH is their hobbyist baby

From what I understand they're still actually working on Haven, with some exceptions usually when they're doing large updates for Salem. The issue is that they're rebuilding Haven from the ground up to incorporate changes that they feel will greatly improve the game. They've expressed in the past that they don't want to put too much work into an outdated build.

Thanks for the info, ya I just started about a week ago, so I didn't know what all was actually going on about updates to this game etc. I saw things in the forums about a world 7, if that would ever happen, I'd definately be one of the people starting out on it
