we won't hit 800, let alone 2000.

and it will drop to about 400 steady once the masses realize that the adolescent eastern european kids have no responsibilites and can play this turd pie 24/7.

but do not worry, because after about a year when lorb and jorb leave the community to stagnate and atrophy and refuse to restart the decaying crusty world, it will hit about 100.

Uncle Phil? You are full of shit. have you not been paying attention to the endless stream of noobs piling into the forums the last 3 weeks? it's break 2500 for sure and 4000 is not unheard of. Also: you know damned well you are going to be nuts deep in the game.

W6 and W7 launch had a peak of around 1.2-1.4k I believe

It's hard to say what Salem had since I don't remember there being a population counter at the time but I think it was sitting around 600-650 for a while

I'd predict that at Hafen launch we'd have a max of around 1.7k players

0. I'm betting either the server will crash due to the influx of people logging in or Jorbtar will delay it further for fixings. :)

It's better to hope for 400 and be pleasantly surprised than hope for 4000 and be disappointed

I, for one, have never seen many more than 1,500 logged in. :)

Why do you guys assume the decline in popularity? Is it unreasonable to think that it might go the other way?
