He loves chocolate. It's poisonous for dogs but by now he's eaten so much he's immunized himself. Once he ate 2lb of fudge.

I had a cat but she died years ago. I should find the picture of the pair of them tearing up the toilet paper.

What a beautiful face! Reminds me of Sirus before he got middle-aged and fluffy, lol. The fluffiness came from the collie in him but it didn't develop until after he was over two years old and slowly just increased. He was sleek like a lab at first.

@ Lord_of_War - He's lovely but I am going to tut at you about the chocolate, sorry. - TUT! TUT!
It can have an effect at any time in the dogs life, it not only can kill them but also can induce fitting and other medical problems, give him doggy chocolate, i'm sure it's no-where near as nice, lol, but it's at least safe. I promise he'll still love you. :)

@ Dill - Thats some lovely colouring in Maggies fur.

It was in a sealed plastic tub. Hes VERY clever, when he wants food. No one gives it to him.

I clearly jumped to the wrong conclusion - I'm sorry.

Yes, when it comes to food they are not silly - Sirus was not allowed to eat things found in the street, he was very obedient, (99.9% of the time, he had his moments!) so it was never an issue, he would look, I'd say 'No' and he would leave it be, however, once we came out of the gate and there was a mars bar, still in the packet but with the top bitten off, he was literally drooling as we went past it, lol. Later that day I was busy and a friend offered to take him out for a bit, when they came back my friend said that as soon as the gate was opened Sirus ran straight to the mars bar and ate it wrapper and all! He hadn't forgotten, I wasn't there and just to be sure he didn't even hesitate long enough to be told 'No'.

He's not that obedient. Hes very sweet and wants to please but he's very excitable and when he sees food he drops everything and begs or will just take it when no one is looking. When he eats chocolate or gets skunked you just feel bad for him. It makes him so miserable but he keeps doing it and can't help it. Also if your dog gets sprayed by a skunk hydrogen peroxide works great. Just be super careful to avoid mouth and eyes. He'll love anyone pretty much unconditionally. Just his nature as a lab. He gets lots of other treats. Sometimes so much we don't feed him dinner because he's already eaten so much. Hes a bit fat but less than he has been.
