We all enjoy H&H, but sometimes you can get worn out by its repetitiveness, so you play another game to get worn out by ITS repetitiveness and come back for more H&H. I'd like to know what games YOU play while you're not farming curios in H&H or waiting for that ram to dry.

Me? I've gotten into RO2 (Ragnarok Online 2). It's one of the few MMOs that I've actually played a character and not remade him a dozen times. Here's a screenshot of me undercutting my fellow merchants like an asshole, while giving a smug thumbs up as I steal food out of other people's character's mouths.

How is RO2?

I really liked the RO private server scene, the game had a great atmosphere and for being pure grind it was enjoyable. My main complaint was that the world and setting was horribly underused, and the gameworld was little more than containers to hold monsters to kill. I scripted some quests and events to flesh out the world more but there was only so much you could do with it.

Ah, neat! I used to play on a private roleplaying server called AeonRO. Sadly I stopped playing because the people I used to roleplay with stopped playing. To answer your question about RO2, it's pretty fun! Merchant class is gone, everyone has access to a profession class (Mage, Acolyte, etc.) and a job class (Blacksmith, Alchemist, etc.) Anyone can set up a shop and sell stuff, and the higher your level the more slots you get. Upon hitting level 30 I went from having 10 slots in my shop to 20, which really opens up more money-making opportunities! Also RO2 is the only free MMO I've seen that lets you have an auction house system without making you pay RL money to use it. I usually have items in the auction house at all times, then when I sleep for the night I set myself up in my character shop. I am rolling in zeny.

Like I said in the OP, this is one of the few MMOs I have ever played where I made a character and actually stuck with them. There is plenty of quests that take you through each area, as well as special Khara quests (which you can just think of as achievements) which unlock titles, etc. Complete different Khara quests in a row and it will give you zeny and experience.

I just finished downloading Anarchy online though. I played it a while back and thought I'd like to get dissapointed again.

I love Tibia's perspective. I call it "straight-grid isometric" although I'm not sure how accurate it is.


For a change of pace, couple screenshots from the game APB: Reloaded, fun little MMFPS with driving elements (I'd probably still play if my internet could handle it).
