They've stated multiple times that W7 will remain up for some time after Hafen launch. As far as "World 8" goes, I believe world 8 is hafen world 1. They are just gonna let the old 2D "haven" system die though.

I think the thought is once there's nothing that World 7 has that World 8 doesn't have (excluding things they don't want), it'll be deleted. There's some features in World 7 that hafen won't have immediately upon release.
