Do 'factions' really need all these crazy bonuses?

So as I was looking at my screen because I was knocked out and getting looted (done with the game as a result) and I was wondering why do the strongest people need buffs to become stronger? Yes, you can say I'm complaining that life is unfair but why is there a game element to further the gap between the haves and have-nots? This is absurd.
Great game without the whole 'misfits of humanity' thing, though. And fuck Nomad quests for putting me into this situation. -1 player count.

Well mate, you were doing your nomad far far from kinned neigbours or allies in a non-pvp gear with a great cost
HnH is more like - do not take anything you hold dear from your brickwall since you can lost it - including your life
But mostly risk is worth especially if you know some tricks

HnH draws in nasty people and devs have designed the whole game to support this. Simply don't do credos like nomad, never go outside without an alt etc. if you dont want to lose your char.

Which is ironically the point of quests and Nomad quests in particular, to get you outside and far from your walls, but then you get severely punished for playing the game. I feel your pain.

imagine being enough of a lunatic to walk your merchants robe out of your walls, in to the middle of bad-faction-zone, get consumed by grabblers, and then blame the game for making you leave your walls. idk if its a hidden strategy or not but you should probably only leave your base for super-distant-unknown quests with the bare minimum you need to survive. i keep my "three weeks in to the world" set on when I'm on a nomad quest. i don't bring my robs, i don't bring my pneck, i don't bring my mrobe.

You have a point about realm buffs, but you're also traveling in merchant robes unprotected. You would have been ganked regardless of factions.

If you're worried about dying slap a bronze plate on, take off all of your other gear and make sure you're at full hard hp before going out. Don't get KO'd on water if you're in a rowboat/dugout/coracle and it's pretty hard to die

Going out with merch robe risk is not a good idea
