It had previously come to my attention through what one might term the proverbial grapevine- that a significant martial engagement was purportedly unfolding within the parameters of the game’s virtual milieu; however, I presently find myself in a state of epistemic uncertainty as to whether said hostilities continue to persist

I liked this, cheers

Sounds good, I look forward to taking part :D

I have been pretty active in Neko chat and have yet to see anyone recruiting for anything. If they are, then they are failing pretty hard at getting scouts. Did I miss out on some free tokens or something?

Other than the usual sprucecap herding or Snail popping up in chat to keep us hermits in line there is very little happening in Neko.

I think the most eventful thing my village had happen was when some sprucecap settled next to one of our guy's claims and a couple days later someone Palisaded around his little claim. Everything else has been status quo

This was about a week prior to posting this thread, I haven't seen them since.
Do people usually recruit with tokens, then? I considered joining, maybe I should have.

Is that really all it takes to pass as notable? To think we could have enjoyed something fun together, your friend and I. It would have been nice to interact with the builder before they locked us in - maybe next time.

Join any group of experienced players.
Tell them you would like to be the crafter.
Then complain how you could be crafting way more things but not having a token is slowing you down.
They will give u a free token out of their large stack of them so you can be more useful.

Was this you? Mae said something about someone living next to him for a few days and he left them a homewarming present. But then a little later someone pallisaded them in. We saw the palisade and thought we were going to get raided so we quickly mobilized and put around a second Pali over Mae's place... only to realize the pali was outside their claim. I've been looking for the owner ever since, thinking they may be in trouble and in need of help :S

I presumed it was Mae who blocked me in, in retaliation for my returning the homewarming gift with a rude note  When I logged in I found Mae had increased their claim size and expanded their palisade, then that my burrow was destroyed, so figured Mae must have disliked having an uncertain neighbour so close.
It was the dude who came by days earlier (I presume you) who let me in on the name of my neighbour. Then Mae who confirmed it after the event when they replied in realm chat to my area chatter.

I had intended on being a harmless nuisance, just some fun to make it worth logging regularly. In hindsight I should have rebuilt another claim nearby - I really liked that character name!

For what little that happened I had a lot of fun :)
Realm chat and I was very curious as to the contents of the giftbox.

Hit me up on discord. Same name. I'll make a WB for you somewhere and you can bring some joy to Neko lol. I have been looking for you since that day.

Mae is harmless. He is pretty new.
