Just got murdered twice, anyone know any good places to base?

from what i understood, whirlpools get added to the whirlpool network when there are first discovered, people have just get big boats to cross ocean only a few days ago, thus whereby unlock new continents I assume, and new whirlpools to the network, this will be completely empty untouched lands if you can find the god whirlpool

I'd recommend just staying as far away from any of the big factions and probally very far inland and away from rivers.
