It would be interesting to discuss, as recent studies suggest, how Africans are in fact the only ‘pure’ Homo sapiens, whilst the rest of us, having encountered Neanderthals and Denisovans just outside Africa during the last migration – that is, in the Middle East – interbred with them.
In fact, we carry traces of them in our genome, whereas the indigenous African populations do not.
