So sure not ''uniquely'' but still feel we shouldn't make haven sweden 2.0

Re: Game Development: Jelly Kebab
Main need : Quest givers remember what quests you were on. Unlink them from trees and link them to themselves separately, just in the form of a tree.jorb wrote:Hmm. True that. Taking suggestions for better ideas.boshaw wrote:Why it's bad
Secondary options : a) Make them invulnerable to cutting and only moveable through an "ask nicely" hearth magic, provided the main need is met
a.2) Add also a hearth magic called ask nicely with honeylumps on top to coax the nearest quest giver on a pclaim to screw off from said pclaim because it wants to be freeeee.
b) make them destroyable but whatever they'll respawn, or after a certain amount of quests for one you get a tool to commune with it even if it's gone, same area to maintain the need for walking to and fro.
Random addition : Make cuter nidbane-ey things pop out of their respective trees and rocks when moving around, just to make people shit themselves for a bit.

To be fair the thread did kind of devolve. The implication of *ahem* dark-skinned characters being murderers seemed to arouse amusement in some people for whatever reason.DatSheep wrote:Do I sense Jorby perspiring over there?jorb wrote:Right. wonder-ass wrote:Tree ent that spawns when you try to chop them down have to fight them in order to fully destroy said quest tree. stronger characters will still be able to chop it down but alts wont be able to.
Also Bleh has a great idea here. Two birbs one stone, new enemy that adds to mystos immersion and a balanced enough way to protect quest tree killing botting from being prominent. Now strong players will be able to exploit loot from an ent like crazy, so maybe don't make it too worth to kill loot-wise..Just strong
