That sounds fair to me and is probably what I'll end up doing when i get around to it.

In my eyes the fact that pearls are so rare ironically lowers their value a lot. Sure having 20 to make a necklace is nice but it's not so nice as to go wasting hours upon hours on mussel hunting nor wasting valuable other resources to aquire them unless you can easily spare them. Thus I chose to watch pearls as side product of mussel hunting something for noobs to be able to trade to the bigger boys and maybe score something decent and this half a bar talk is lolz wut into my eyes. That fucking pearl necklace is nowhere close in worth to fucking 10 bars of gold.

Pearls are good, pearls are nice and shiny, pearls give more LP. But their`s price not so big.

Gold: you need to find rere gold mine and dig-dig-dig-dig
Pearls: you need good perception and exploration and harvest-harvest-harvest-harvest (more than dig)
HQPearls: you need to find the place (sometimes as rare as gold mine) and you can only harvers some and must wait.

That is why q10 pearl costs less than nugget but q40 costs more than nugget.

Just throwing out there what I personally think a 'fair' price is: 2~4 q10 pearls for 1 gold nugget ; q40+ pearl for 1 gold nugget; q90+ pearl? 2~4 gold nuggets

The problem with the higher quality pearls is that it'd take too many to make a necklace and their rarity is among the rarest of rare, it's ridiculous, although a q90 pearl necklace would be like 'the best' the hours searching a single q90 spot to find 1 pearl much less 20 would drive one insane.

I don't recall loftar confirming any percentile only rough estimations based on experience.

And I can't argue with dog's prices until I get off my ass and mine gold myself but I will and in a month or two when i do I'll probably offer a nugget per pearl and IMHO q90+ pearl would be worth a freakin bar.

I could see paying two bar/pearl for a set of 90+ pearls.

So, you people who go on about how quality is a huge deal on pearl, how many q10s will you give me for this q30 I found?

The sad problem with pearl quality is that you'd need 3 of those to mean anything at all, and 20 to mean something for real.

I'd persoanlly say at least 2 q10s for a q30, however it does still depend on whether the person can get more q30 or not. It's like trading someone 9 q200 clay for a treeplanter's pot and expecting them to just miracle up the last q200 for a treeplanter's pot.

If I had 3 I'd make a ring myself :P
If somebody cares so much about quality, he can just buy quality pearls over extended period of time, I don't have patience for that.

But yeah, if somebody offered 2 q10s for my q30, I'd accept.
