Swimming is useful, but gain 100 constitution (to swim across rivers) and buy Silver For Ferryman (not so expensive).

If you don`t have 20*20 perc*exp, you do not need rustroot.
If you want to find mine, you shold have pretty good equipment (to kill boar/bear or to run out), and you need more than 10 jars of extract.

Much easier to find abandoned mine and capture it. But nobody will buy your q10 tin exept newbies (for chests and cellars). So you need to find q40 clay first.

I don't want mines to sell ores/bars to people. I need it my self. Almost everything i want to make requires ores/bars. By the way, WTF is 20*20 perc*exp?

i don't think they want you to stop playing, but more like stop posting. whatever, it gives me a chuckle every now and then.

serious answer to help you. you don't want to buy rustroot. you want to buy carrots, if you don't have them. plant you a huge ass carrot field, raise your farming skill, and eat the extra carrots from harvest. this will raise your perception.

then you want to put some lp into exploration skill. when you have 20 perception and 20 exploration, you start to see rustroot on the ground. raising per and exp higher will make it appear more frequently. collect a dozen roots or so then head out and start prospecting. this is how you get a mine.
